Basement and Main Stairways with Box Newels and Columns #121

MATERIALS: Wood Wrought Iron

With the contrast of white painted risers and stringers, richly stained treads become the focal point of this curved staircase spanning two floors. Box newels were designed to match the boxed pillars at the start of the basement stairs. Custom wainscoting and paneling lines the right wall and balcony for a traditional yet stately appearance. As a final note, knots at varying heights in the Tuscan-series balustrade system seem to mimic sheet music, a nod to all the elements working in tune with one another in this stunning symphonic piece.
